Camp Friendship is a 501 (3)(c) non-profit organization. Camp Friendship was founded in 1976 as a not-for-profit youth service organization whose mission is to provide underserved youth, from New York City, with the tools, confidence and support to become healthy, successful and responsible citizens. Camp Friendship provides comprehensive seasonal programming. Transitioning youth from season to season with a combination of team-based and center-based activities, in an environment of support and community values. Camp Friendship has the most affordable basketball, baseball and summer camp programming in the community. Camp Friendship has a satellite program on the coastal island of Maine. Camp Friendship hosts an annual coat and toy drive as well as a holiday dinner for families from low income areas. The youth in our programming are taught the importance of giving back and are encouraged to participate in the running of our charity events. Everything Camp Friendship does is made possible by the support and fund-raising efforts of our grassroots community of parents and alumni.
